YL 5K

It has not rained in Charlotte ALL MONTH, but it rained today!!! You know why? Because this morning we had the Young Life 5K fundraiser at Lowe's Motor Speedway! It actually stopped while we were there, so that was nice. It was so much fun to walk around the race track! I had never been there, so it was all new to me. I never knew the curves were that slanted! Those cars are practically sideways! Craziness! Anyway, some 200 people turned out to run/walk the 5K; all of the proceeds will go to send kids in our area to camp in 3 weeks! It was a lot of fun, and the area director said we will be doing it again next year! It was a hit! I had the camera with me in the stroller the whole time and forgot to take even a single picture, but take my word for it: Kylie loved it! She has been saying all afternoon that Daddy and Nate, one of the high school kids, won the race. (Daddy didn't win, and Nate finished dead last, but that is ok.)
