We did come back!

Was anyone wondering if we just stayed at the beach??? Sorry I haven't gotten online to update the blog! We had a wonderful time at the beach with family! The weather was beautiful! -could not have been more perfect. We had one day of rain, but that was fine with us, we just headed out to shop! The kids loved playing with Erick, a.k.a. "airwick" to Kylie, and Bryan. What a treat that Bryan and George got to come for part of the week! Wilbur came down with Aunt Courtney and Uncle Ian, so that was fun to have a puppy around to splash and play with. The waves were a little rough at times, but as long as the kids had on their life jackets they didn't seem to mind. Mama, on the other hand, could not hang with those waves! Maybe next time I should take a life jacket! -or just not be pregnant...either way. Rodgers played his first 18 holes of golf with Dada and Papa Fred. By the end of the afternoon all the staff and rangers on the course knew him. He had a blast! He even had to keep reminding Papa to keep his eye on the ball...not sure what that says about how Papa's game is looking...We got to have dinner with Granddaddy (Rod's dad) one night while we were down, so the kids enjoyed seeing him, too!

We came home by way of Columbia for Walker's first birthday party. We went to the pool with the cousins Saturday night, church with Caroline Sunday morning, and then to the party. We got home pretty late Sunday night and all went straight to bed. Monday morning was a hard one! Rod had rough re-entry and a rough week ever since. The kids had...let's call it adjustment issues to being without Nana and Papa and all the other attention. But Wednesday afternoon Nana and Papa B came for a visit and stayed thru Sunday morning, so that was fun! Papa worked the whole time he was here, but hopefully he will come back again sometime anyway. We are enjoying all the improvements he made on the house while he was here! The rest of us played at the pool (well, exept Daddy who was at work) and in the yard. We all enjoyed meals on the patio again. Thursday, the whole gang went in to the doctor's office with me to check on baby Elijah. We got to hear his little heartbeat and see him on the ultrasound screen. He is growing like crazy, and I am hoping they figured my due date wrong the first time and he isn't just a porker. He already weighs 3 lbs 3 oz...almost a pound bigger than he should be right now. And if any of you just said that was no big deal you obviously haven't given birth lately. Speaking of giving birth, Betty had baby Avary Saturday morning!! She is beautiful!!! It has been fun to get to hold her, and it has made me realize I really am ready to have another little munchkin! I am getting excited! Well, let me try to get some pictures on here before the kids figure out where I am...oh, and the picture of Kylie eating is her first time having calamari which she LOVED! Putt-putt was as we were leaving the beach and heading toward Cola. Elijah is 29 weeks in his picture. And the pic of the kids in the yard is Rodgers helping Kylie make a snow angel!
