We're back!

So here we are a week later...sorry! We had a wonderful time at the beach! We stayed at a friend's beach house which was perfect for us. We got down there last Friday night to find the turtles were hatching on the beach, so we got to see two little baby turtles poking their heads up through the sand as they climbed out of their eggs! So cute! The rest of the weekend was spent on the beach, in the waves, on the porches at the house, and at a yummy seafood restaurant. Rodgers went to see the lighthouse, too! On Monday, Rod came home for soccer practice and to get back to work on Tuesday. I headed to Pinehurst with Mom, Dad and the kids. We had a fun couple days there playing and bowling (Rodgers' new love). We got home Wednesday afternoon and headed to the mall to buy new shoes for the kids. Lucky for Rodgers they had brown ones with tan stripes, aka "bowling shoes!" I mean, at 2 1/2, you can face any of life's challenges as long as you have a pair of bowling shoes, and a pair of red Keds (he's made the switch from blue)! Kylie is just happy that her new shoes still have velcro! Thursday morning was a little sad for the kids since Nana Kathy left to go home, but they got to see Daddy! Thursday night they went to church with me since I had to babysit; they didn't get to go to bed until almost 10pm! Friday we went to the park with Betty, Tyler and Bryce, and took a picnic lunch out to Daddy. We all went to bed early, exhausted from a long week!
I have a couple pictures for you. One is of when, as Rodgers put it, "it is raining popcorn!" That ends the unsupervised snack time! The other is of Kylie riding the horse which for some reason says "baa" today!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday so far! Daddy is at work this morning, but we are gearing up for a big afternoon of playing once he gets home. And of course, there is the game tonight...GO GAMECOCKS!
