You know, my parents always said I was a great starter, but not a good finisher...but here's another blog entry anyway!
Nana and Papa came to visit! Yea! We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday (yes, LAST Saturday) with Nana and Papa and our buddies, the Swineharts. Kylie picked out a little white pumpkin that reminds her of Bryce. And we got one big pumpkin to decorate with a face, hands, feet, and a hat that William and Bennett gave us. The four big kids had a blast running through piles of pumpkins, posing for pictures, going to the milk barn to watch Papa Fred milk a cow, stopping at the petting barn to see the sheep, pigs, horses, chickens, bunnies (and Rodgers showed us all how to "shake our chicken tails")...and the hayride behind a tractor that took us to all these things was so much fun! Dylan thought it was a great time for a nap...but he's only 3 weeks old, so we'll let it slide this time. After the hayride, Rodgers and Kylie played on some tractors, then we headed to dinner. For Nana's birthday on Monday, we got up and ate RED cupcakes (I wonder who picked that cake mix) for breakfast (which Nana and Rodgers made the day before), then went out for waffles (Rodgers ate more than any of the rest of us). We made a quick stop at Costco and saw the "snow" in the big blow up snow globe that Rodgers would love for us to have in our yard (uhhh.......NO!). Then later, we went BOWLING!!! Wait, was this Nana's special day, or Rodgers'???? Anyway, he had a blast, and Kylie bowled with Nana and Papa, too. She even impressed us all by picking up her bowling ball all by herself. That night after dinner and MORE cupcakes, Rodgers ran around naked just so Nana could tell all of her friends she had a male stripper at her 50th birthday party! She's SO glad she chose to celebrate here in Charlotte with us! :)
