For those of you who don't know, whenever Kylie tells a true story, she qualifies it at the end by saying, "for real life!" It is one of our favorite "Kylie-isms."
Elijah got to see the snow first; Rod showed him out our window when he woke up. We sent Eli in to wake Kylie up around 7am. He climbed up by her head on her pillow and yelled at her. Once she opened her eyes, he pointed to her window and spoke in his own language telling her the good news. We were all outside by 7:20. How fun for us Southerners who never get any of this white fluffy stuff! Needless to say, every school was cancelled, so the whole neighborhood joined in on the fun! The kids were in and out the whole day. We had snowball fights (Rodgers and I were really good because we had practiced with marshmellows inside a few nights before), made snow angels, went on the swings (Eli's broke from under him since it was frozen solid), flew down the slides and then halfway across the yard. Kylie's little pink house was one of the favorite spots of the day since it was still warm in there! Then everyone warmed up with hot chocolate and marshmellows. We love play days in the hood! Oh, and Elijah did NOT want his picture taken, so whenever I tried to get one he turned and walked away...thus all my pictures and videos of the back of him.
